Hexfall

A tactics roguelike that never repeats a floor.

Descend through a collapsing hex tower. Every floor rewrites its own rules, and the squad you bring down is the only squad you get.

About

What you’re actually playing

Hexfall takes the tactical core of Fortress and drops it into a run-based structure. Each floor of the tower generates its own modifier — gravity that pulls pieces toward the centre, hexes that burn, enemies that reinforce off your own formation.

You bring four units down and you do not get more. Wounds carry between floors. The only way out is through.

Systems

The rules that make it work

The mechanics below aren't features bolted on top of Hexfall. They are the game.

01

Rule-rewriting floors

Every descent draws a new modifier deck, so the tactics you learned on floor three may actively lose you floor four.

02

Persistent squad

Units carry scars, upgrades, and grudges between floors. Losing one is permanent for the run.

03

Short runs

A full descent fits in a lunch break. Failing fast is part of the design.
